  • 3 rod maximum per angler
  • No nuts to be used unless purchased on-site
  • Particle can be purchased on site however if you decide to use your own particle, it must be prepared on site, heating/ cooking equipment will be provided
  • No braided main lines
  • No leaders of any kind
  • Minimum 15lb main line
  • Rig tubing must be used
  • Barbed or Micro Barbed hooks only
  • No bent hooks or long-shank curve hooks
  • No fixed rigs
  • No rods to be left unattended
  • Please do not use the bank side as a toilet
  • No swimming in the lake
  • All litter must be placed in the bins provided
  • No fishing is permitted from the dam wall
Etang de Planchon takes fish care very seriously.  The rules are in place so that anglers of all ages and abilities know what to do.
  • Only our 42 inch landing net, unhooking mat & weigh sling are to be used on the lake (all are supplied free of charge)
  • Korda Carp Care kit is supplied and is to be used (useage guidance will be given where needed)
  • No Sacking of fish
  • Never leave a fish unattended on an unhooking mat
  • Ensure the mat and sling are wet before use
  • When holding fish for photographs
    • Never stand to have your picture taken or hold the carp too high above the mat
    • Support the carps weight with both hands underneath
    • Do not lean or rest the fish on its stomach
    • If a carp flaps whilst raised, cradle it towards your body to prevent the fish falling, you may get messy but it will prevent fatal injury
    • Always use your sling or unhooking mat to return the fish to the water.  Never carry it yourself
